Of course they all spent their money wisely. They wanted to get back to their "normal" lives. But this study has some problems such that the results cannot be extrapolated to the entire homeless population anywhere.
1. The sample group consisted of people who had RECENTLY become homeless. The sample group was not chosen from a cross-section of homeless people and seemingly no account was made of age, gender, and geographical location, etc.
2. The sample size was way too small.
This would not pass as a "real study" in academia. It was an interesting experient but doesn't bear the hallmarks of a scientific study.
