Hmmmm. Interesting story. "Zero fucks given," to me, always seemed more of a life-editing tool, like, "What will I read on Facebook today" and "Who will I choose to spend my time with today." I never saw it as a license to disregard others, even if just in the menial human sense. I do have a social conscience, the only one in my family actually, but I'm still going to edit (or at least not expose myself to) people and words that are racist, argumentative, boring, or consistently negative. For me. "zero fucks" means having a degree of control over my life and the kind if energy I invite into it.
