About what Mary Acton said, I do believe that if you talked to her alone, said your goodbyes, and told her it's OK to go, something might come of it, even if you have to keep doing it. At the very least, I think it would make you feel less stressed. Best-case scenario? If she is hanging on, maybe that permission will help her let go.
